Who am I?

Many a times I used to meditate myself thinking who I really am! What purpose do I have in this world of our journey? People coming and going, struggling for their survival within which even I, myself is included.

People tend to follow their dreams too much whereby they sometimes does not realized what they were losing and gaining as time passes by. They may sometimes restricted to their profession too much that they don’t have time to screen back their past life and acknowledge themselves their heredity. Not just a single person who falls in this category rather a crowd of people lining up which may possibly then lead to a lost tribe in a few decades.

Once upon a time, there was a story about a horse that travelled across a country. The horse considered himself not less value than the person who rides him since he had been treated similar to that person for the time being. On the way, when they gone through the shed where all the horse usually feed, but the horse doesn’t want to be fed thinking in mind that since he was being treated as human, he will be serving food along with his master on their destination. Then, thing doesn’t happen as expected. As a result, he spends the whole time with hunger throughout their journey.

This short story tells us that having false deception doesn’t change who we are?  Where we belong? No matter what great achievement we must acquire, it is always mandatory to know ourselves clean and clear. Wherever we may be, what profession we might have may be in the foreign countries, we should always remember our background and limits. A moment of respect we might receive by putting our real image aside but a whole life respect we will get if we walk along with our tradition, culture and representing as we are! In the latter case, achieving great success become the proud of the tradition and culture and it is the only situation where we can have a complete success.

Celebrating ‘‘chapchar kut’’ is one way to remind and refresh ourselves regarding our cultural prospect. We, the present generation, are lucky enough to achieve complete success. Therefore, we should not neglect the chance that we have, rather we should be excited and involve in this festive celebration as much as possible. As there’s a saying, “We are MIZOS’, we are handsome and beautiful”. Therefore, it is our only duty, not anyone else, to make the name of our culture beauty and let it feel proud.  Our profession might differ to one another but it’s not a problem of confusion until we remember who we are and where we belong. So, at this time, let’s celebrate joyfully and acknowledge ourselves, the real meaning of our culture. “HAPPY CHAPCHAR KUT EVERYONE “
